Qualifications

Dr. Michael A. Hein is a recognized authority in the field of fluid flow and computer applications. Highlighting a 40+ year career in applied research and engineering, Dr. Hein founded his own high-tech company (Fluid Flow Consultants, Inc.) in 1986.

Dr. Hein holds a B.S. in engineering physics (University of Tulsa,) a M.S. in computational physics (Kansas State University) and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering (University of Tulsa). He has authored a book and some 25 professional trade journal articles on the subjects of pipeline engineering, oil and gas production and computer modeling. He teaches short courses in the area of surge analysis and multiphase flow in pipelines and pipe network systems. Prior to the foundation of Fluid Flow Consultants, Inc., Dr. Hein held several key roles with a leading software developer and a major pipeline E&C firm. His highly theoretical academic background is tempered with years of practical engineering experience.
